Athena is a mum and grannie based in rural, central Scotland. She attended art college in Glasgow and became a graphic designer. After having three children, she re-trained in horticulture and worked as a gardener and designer. When one of her son's, Sandy, took his life in 2020 she took up art full time. Since then her work has become bolder, brighter and she definitely does not take herself too seriously! Athena's aim is that her work is affordable and fun for all through her cards, posters and prints. Conic Crafts in Drymen displays just some of her work. She volunteers with The Canmore Trust in the hope that she can help others bereaved by suicide.
